Your brain: 180% interpersonal, 20% visual, 140% verbal, and 60% mathematical!
|
Congratulations on being 400% smart! Actually, on my test, everyone is. The above score breaks down what kind of thinking you most enjoy doing. A score above 100% means you use that kind of thinking more than average, and a score below 100% means you use it less. It says nothing about how good you are at any one, just how interested you are in each, relatively. A substantial difference in scores between two people means, conclusively, that they are different kinds of thinkers.
Matching Summary: Each of us has different tastes. Still, I offer the following advice, which I think is obvious:
- Don't date someone if your interpersonal percentages differ by more than 80%.
- Don't be friends with someone if your verbal percentages differ by more than 100%.
- Don't have sex with someone if their math percentage is over 200%.
|
|
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
|
You scored higher than 98% on interpersonal |
|
You scored higher than 11% on visual |
|
You scored higher than 86% on verbal |
|
You scored higher than 66% on mathematical |

I found my license(it was somewhere in my car). Found my social security card(it was somewhwere in my room at my parents house, which I have not been at very much. things are looking up. Might have found second job(as first isn't enought to live on, so i'll have 2 jobs), found a couple cheap possible living situations, and things are set in motion for me to be a full-time student again next semester at SCSU. THe best part about being at your lowest is you can go nowhere, but up. About the cigarette, I have not quit, but cut down considerably. I think that is pretty good going from 1 pack a day to 2 packs a week.

So here I am at almost 4:30 am, about as wide awake as you can be with a chest cold and 102 temp, as I slept most of the day. I am not quite sure what I have, but iam going to the doctor today and , actually slept at home tonight, whatever that is. I have made a concious and important decision since my lungs are pretty fucked up. i am going to quit smoking cigarettes. Let's see if I feel the same way once i am better. I atleast have to cut down extensively.

SO here I am violently sick sitting around doing nothing. I considered calling out sick, ut I need the hours. Well nothing else to say , but life is confusing.

2:29 pm - complete weirdness
|
Ehh life has been ok lately, been busy and such, but in a way it has been a bit mundane. I think there has just been the last of complete oddness and chaos that I have been accustomed too. You can imagined how intrigued I was at the converstaion I have just witnessed. I am on the computer at the library as I am waiting to visit one of my old schools at 3pm. On the computer next tom is this hugggggggggge guy(Guy 1). He is so big that I think is breats are as big as mine. He is probably around my age. Then this other guy (Guy 2)walks up to him(but I didn't know it was a guy at first as he had on sunglasses, weird clothes, and longish hair. I have no idea how old he was as he looks like one of those people who can be anywhere from 20 to 40 years old. So guy 1 says "hey man haven't seen you for a while, where have you been?" and Guy 2 says "Not sure. I just work up from like a 4 day high" At that moment I look up as the convo is getting interesting. So Guy 2 looks at me and apologizes and says"sorry ,i should prolly not be talking about that in the library. I go back to what i was doing and Guy 1 asks Guy 2 how things have been. Guy 2 say Okay.I think I screwed someone. I am not not sure though. So guy one is like "really??"then realizes I am there and says this is impolite, not in front of the lady. So they decide to go outside. I was alittle bit disappointed as I was getting fascinated by this convo. As they areleaving Guy 2 say "don't worry I am sure I used protection"(how the fuck does he know if he doesn't he remember if he did anything???)and Guy 1 says "shhhh, not in here. Then they were gone. Well I have a busy rest of the day so I should go, but I just wanted to share this antecdote.

1:10 am - What is the point?????
|
I am beginning to wonder what my greater purpose is. Ok, I know this is very clique-ish and that I am also not the only one who has ever felt this way. I am really trying to sort things out in my life though, although I guess I have really being attempting this task for years in some sense or another. It is just I feel like I am some sort of standstill. I am not really making much progress(at least it does not feel that way) but I am not really taking any steps backwards. I believe that in some ways I have made much headway but in other ways I have just fell behind, which has in turn trapped me in the middle of nowhere. I am searching for something, something that seems completely unattainable. But, wait. How do I know what I want is unattainable if I can not really pinpoint what I want. I have a basic idea. I want to graduate college, want to make some positive contributions to society and to help people, I want to be able to pay off some current financial debts,I would like to have perfect(or almost perfect) emotional and physical health, and I am actually believe that I may want to find true love(whatevr that is). This all seems like a hefty plight though, and if I am able to achieve a good amount of these things, what will I have to look forward too. I know many people who pretty much have everything they want in life, but then they fuck up and lose it all, just because they made one stupid choice, because they were not satisfied with how easy there life had become and were searching for the newest adventure. I also know that pining for your past or the way things were before, does not achieve anything. Also memories are often fonder than the truth. A couple of days ago I was looking at a picture of myself from when I was seventeen, just after my sister Rachel was born. I saw how perfect my hair looked. I saw that I was thinner than I am now. Then I thought carefully about that point in my life. I had been kicked out of boarding school a month before that, was detoxing from a cocktail of different drugs, getting over one of my bouts of anorexia/bulimia, and had to stay home for a month before a new semester started at public school. I did not think I was going to be able to graduate that year. My mom almost died in the bathroom while going into premature labor(she had placenta previa and they were able to stop the labor). The picture shows me smiling happily with my father and newborn sister. At that point I had just started school at Hall, was dealing with most of my problems, and was applying to colleges. This was less than 2 months after I had left the Winchendon School.Things weren't perfect. i hadn't been in the public school system for years and all the seniors were ready to move on, so all my friends were younger. I had to reaclamate myself my life to life back home. It was actually pretty weird. Every other second semester high school senior had already gotten in to their college of choice and was blowing of studying to party. Myself on the other hand was still applying to and visit coleges as I had put it off, had given up drugs, alcohol and even smoking cigarettes, and was working my ass off. It paid off though and I graduated that June and went to college(Bay Path College-another completely different story)in the fall. The purpose of this little antecdote is thinking about this experience has helped me to realize that life is never perfect and we have to approach each roadblock as it comes. I have gotten through things before, and I can get through it again. When I look at some of my current situations i realize that they could be worse. I also have to look at what i do have in my life. I have some good friends who have really proven themselves to care about me and I have done the same. I have a family, that no matter how closed minded and frustating they seem, have been really been supportive of me. Now I have even sort have put things together so I have a great place to live, 3 jobs and and ttaking classes for the next semester. I know things are not perfectly ideal , but they as good as they are going to get for now, and I can now work towards what may seem unattainable, but who knows.

1:05 pm - so here are some stupid memmes thta are somewhat applicable to me
|
So i have to g to work in New Haven soon, but thought i would post some silly memes first.
You Know You're Jewish When.... |
You spent your entire childhood thinking everyone called pot roast "brisket."
You grew up thinking it was normal for someone to shout "Are you okay? Are you okay?" through the bathroom door when you were in there longer than 3 minutes.
Your family dog responded to commands in Yiddish.
Every Saturday morning your father went to the neighborhood deli (called an "appetizing store") for whitefish salad, whitefish ("chubs"), lox (nova if you were rich!), herring, corned beef, roast beef, cole slaw, potato salad, a 1/2-dozen huge barrel pickles, a dozen assorted bagels, cream cheese and rye bread (sliced while he waited) .. all of which would be strictly off-limits until Sunday morning.
Every Sunday afternoon was spent visiting your grandparents and/or other relatives.
You experienced the phenomenon of 50 people fitting into a 10-foot-wide dining room hitting each other with plastic plates trying to get to a deli tray.
You had at least one female relative who penciled on eyebrows which were always asymmetrical.
You thought pasta was stuff used exclusively for Kugel and kasha with bowties.
You were as tall as your grandmother by the age of seven.
You were as tall as your grandfather by the age seven and a half.
You never knew anyone whose last name didn't end in one of 5 standard suffixes (berg, baum, man, stein and witz.)
You were surprised to discover that wine doesn't always taste like cranberry sauce.
You can look at gefilte fish and not turn green.
Your mother smacked you really hard and continues to make you feel bad for hurting her hand.
You can understand Yiddish but you can't speak it.
You know how to pronounce numerous Yiddish words and use them correctly in context, yet you don't exactly know what they mean. Kinahurra.
You're still angry at your parents for not speaking both Yiddish and English to you when you were a baby.
You have at least one ancestor who is somehow related to your spouse's ancestor.
Your grandparent's newly washed linoleum floor was covered with the NY Times, which your grandparents could not read.
You thought speaking loud was normal.
You considered your Bar or Bat Mitzvah a "Get Out of Hebrew School Free" card.
You think eating half a jar of dill pickles is a wholesome snack.
You're compelled to mention your grandmother's "steel cannonballs" upon seeing fluffy matzo balls served at restaurants.
You buy 3 shopping bags worth of hot bagels on every trip to NYC and ship them home via FedEx. (Or, if you live near NYC or Philadelphia or another Jewish city hub, you drive 3 hours just to buy a dozen "real" bagels.)
Your mother took personal pride when a Jew was noted for some accomplishment (showbiz, medicine, politics, etc.) and was ashamed and embarrassed when a Jew was accused of a crime .. as if they were relatives.
You thought sleepaway college was only where non-Jews went ... Jews went to city schools ... unless they had scholarships or made an Ivy League school.
And finally, you knew that Sunday night and the night after any Jewish holiday was designated for Chinese food.
You're proud to be Jewish - and you pass these jokes on to all your Jewish friends! |
You Know You're a Pothead When... |
You think the song "Truckin'" by the Grateful Dead should replace the national anthem.
Your music collection is worth more than your vehicle.
Your bong is taller than your dog.
It takes you more than 30 minutes to roll a joint.
You set your wedding date for 4/20.
You take off April 20th every year and treat it as a holiday.
You spent your last bit of money to score some herbs and don't have enough gas money to get home but you don't care.
You start every sentence with - uhhh!.
You intentionally roll seeds in your joints on independence day so you can hear the popping because you don't have money to buy fireworks.
You eat at Taco Bell more than 8 times a week.
You wear sunglasses at night, and see better.
You go to the corner store and the clerk automatically tosses a pack of rolling papers on the counter.
Your pot tray is fuller than your refrigerator.
Your bong gets washed more than your dishes.
You sell your car for gas money
You are the only tobacco smoker in the room and you look at the cigarette in the ashtray and ask, "Is that my cigarette?"
You're eating something on your way home thinking about what you're gonna eat when you get home!
Every cylinderical object you see, turns into plans on a new smoking device....
Just to be religous, you observe 4:20 in every time zone.
Someone has ever come up to you on the street and said "Hi" and you said "Yep."
You thought the ebola virus was a type of weed.
You think being stoned to death would be a damn good way to go out.
You have ever smoked pot before 8 o'clock in the morning.
You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other pothead friends.

8:21 pm - Finally updating
|
So I am fucking exhausted. I just got home from my new prospective nanny job in Woodbridge. This week i am commuting there in the afternoons this week and if it works out I will be there permanently, working there during afternoons and Saturday evening. I will be getting paid separetely to baby-sit her friend's baby a few days a week. I also got a part-time AmeriCorps position in Meriden at the Women and Family Center, doing a youth drop in and sexual assault hotline. On top of that I am taking classes and plan on getting some partying in. So far this break as been an intriguing combination of mundane and overly stimulating. I came home from school very frustrated, depressed and confused. There were many different situations, both trivial and significant on my mind. I will have to admit that one of these situations , something Meagan said was very helpful."Do not make someone your priority when you are only one of their options." This advice was suprising because as she said she does not always listen to this statement herself. I do not remember much about my first week home except I got togetehr with Het, who is home on break from school in tennessee. I find it quite fascinating how close we have remained over the years even though we have chosen to completely different paths. I also got together with Raisin that first week. I haven't seen that girl in almost a year. She is completely fun and crazy and actually very much like alot of my current fiends. On Christmas eve, I went over to the Schiffman's with my family for a Festivus/Shabbat celebration. It was very nice. I got to see Kim D. who i haven't seen in a while and got to hang out with Sarah S. who I haven't really talked to since the good old days at Camp Simchat Yeladim. We reminisced about camp, talked about jobs, she gave me advice about quitting smoking cigs which she did a year ago and i am seriously trying (but failing to do now) sad it was that my sister Steph and her brother did not stay together. i was a good girl thouh and did not mention that my sister as a new boyfriend. The next day I went out for Chinese with my Daddy, a common jewish Christmas tradition. The next day my 12 year old cousin Jonny came to vist from new yorfor a couple days. It was very fun, he is not your typical 12 year old boy though as he likes to dance, play with my five year old sister and gossip with my grandmother. That Monday we went swimming and then to the science center, and I forgot my phone. When I got back I found an unexpected message from the person that the whole "priority advice" pertained to. I called him back, but he didn't pick up. Eh, who really cares though. I ended up seeing him later in the week anyway. On Friday after my interview in Woodbridge, I went to get my eyebrows done at the Shaw's plaza in Hamden. Then I ended up meeting Billy for a cigarette as he was on brek from Shaw's. I always enjoy seeing him, he is a very good kid, and alot of fun. Then I went to Bridgeport to hang out with Tara for New Year's eve. We wnent to a diner, went to the mall, and then met Sarah in a parking lot to hang out a bit. Tara and I played around with several options on what to do that evening and finally ended up in Hamden at a party at Billy's that we were both invited to. Wow.............................What an interesting even. It was nice and relaxing, but felt a little bit like something from the Twilight Zone. Maybe it was the activities or the company, interesting mix of people, but yeah that is all I will say about that, except that that night definitely helped me get over certain things. Early that morning, about 3am , tara and I drove back to Bridgeport where I stayed the night. It was nice seeing her as it was the only time we both had the chance to get together during break so far. Then the next morning or early afternoon we went out to Galaxy for breakfat/lunch, and I brought her to work the next day. This week has been spent doing laundry, commuting to Woodbridge to work, and other stuff such as hanging out with Jess. Alot of other things have happened during break, but some I don't remeber, some I don't want to talk about, and I am very tired. besides this entry for surpasses any of my other recent entries in length and I think you are all tireds hearing about my life. The only other thing I have to say is thisa break has given me alot of insight, helped to realize a lot of things such as who is really there for me,and that I am a worthwhile being capable of much good. Well...Shalom all
